From USOM
USOM Mail on iPhone
The same receiving-only mail as the browser version, in a native app. Carry auto-refresh, color themes and shared viewing with you.
Coming soon on the App Store
Distribution has not started yet. Until it launches, the browser version works as-is (the account is the same).
What the app can do
- Disposable addresses on the spotIssue a receiving-only email address only when you need one. Even on the free plan you can hold up to 5, and delete them when you are done.
- Auto-refresh and pull to refreshThe inbox checks automatically about every 30 seconds. Pull the list down and USOM spins around to fetch the latest.
- Five color themesChoose from Standard, Midnight, Honky-tonk, Forest and Sakura. Saved per device, and USOM changes color along with it.
- Shared viewingHand over an invite by QR or link and the other person can view your inbox read-only. They cannot delete or reply. Good for checking mail with family or a team.
- Stay anonymous / link GoogleUse it right away without signing in. Link Google and you keep the same inbox across devices and browsers. The address you sign in with and your disposable addresses are treated as separate things.
- Clear about how things disappearReceived mail is deleted automatically once past its retention period (30 days on the free plan). Account deletion has a 30-day grace period, and signing in with the same Google account within that time cancels it.
Screens
As this is before release, the actual screens may differ.
Browser version vs. app
- Browser versionNo sign-in, right now. Works on a PC too. Leaves few traces even on a shared PC.
- App versionFor people who check often on the go. Auto-refresh, themes and shared viewing are all in one place.
Launch announcement
Once the launch date is set, we will announce it here and in the FAQ. There is no plan yet for an Android version.
